Carmel Mar Thoma Church

The coming Sunday, May 11, 2008 is Mothers' Day and we plan to have a special 'GOURMET MEAL' for the occasion to honor all the mothers and mothers-to-be. This meal is being specially prepared (with love) by a number of the men in our parish. Rumors have it that among the many items is grilled kabobs, etc. A lot of planning has gone into this and we are on course for a banquet under the watchful supervision and immaculate planning of 'Master Chef Samuel Thomas' (Ponnachayan).

All of you are requested to participate in this event for purposes of honoring the 'mothers', encouraging those who are spending an enormous amount of time and effort to put together this event, and because the meal is on target to be an extravaganza. A token of contribution of $10/- per family will be requested, purely to defray the costs.

The lunch will be at 1:30 pm, immediately after the Diocesan Sunday School examination gets over. A special menu is being prepared for all the children, especially as they have worked hard for this examination.

Once again, please come to church this Sunday and participate in the worship and the lunch to follow. We would also deeply appreciate any 'able-bodied souls' who would be willing to help with a 'spring clean-up' in the church.
